Dr. John Branton

We are thrilled to introduce the newest member of our specialized endodontic team, Dr. John Branton. A native Pennsylvanian, Dr. Branton was born and raised in Allentown, PA, instilling in him a deep connection to the community and values of the Keystone State.

Educational Background and Military Service

Dr. Branton’s academic journey began at Virginia Tech, followed by his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Temple University’s prestigious Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry in Philadelphia. Upon earning his DMD, Dr. Branton embarked on a distinguished chapter of service as a commissioned dental officer in the United States Army.

His military career began with the Basic Officer Leadership Course at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas. His first active-duty assignment spanned three years at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, where he served the troops and their families while he and his wife welcomed their first two children. Dr. Branton’s active service concluded with a two-year tour at the revered United States Military Academy in West Point, NY, where he maintained the dental health of the Corps of Cadets and the military community.

Endodontic Specialization and Continued Commitment to Service

Following his time on active duty, Dr. Branton transitioned to the Army National Guard, a commitment he proudly maintains today. His role in the Guard ensures that soldiers are in optimal dental health, medically ready, and fit for deployment, reflecting his enduring dedication to military service.

Dr. Branton pursued his advanced, specialized training in Endodontics at the Dental College of Georgia in Augusta, GA. This rigorous residency equipped him with the expertise to perform complex root canal treatments, endodontic surgery, and diagnose challenging tooth pain, all with a focus on patient comfort and saving natural teeth. Prior to returning home, he spent two years honing his specialized skills in a private practice setting in Greenville, South Carolina.

Now, Dr. Branton is delighted to return to his roots in Pennsylvania. His decision to join Advanced Endodontics of Bucks County is driven by a desire to bring his specialized expertise and patient-centered approach to the community he knows and loves.

When Dr. Branton is not in the office or serving with the National Guard, he cherishes time spent with his family. He and his wife are proud parents to four children: Madeline, Cameron, Lainey, and Harrison. Beyond his professional life, Dr. Branton is an avid sportsman. He enjoys golfing, hitting the slopes for skiing, and running. A true Philadelphian at heart, he is a passionate supporter of the major Philadelphia sports teams, often found cheering them on with enthusiasm (Go Birds!).

Dr. Branton looks forward to providing the highest quality of endodontic care to our patients and becoming an integral part of the Bucks County healthcare community.
